The usually undaunted Darth Vader actually ran for his life when he encountered a Jedi-Sith hybrid in Star Wars: Vector.
Darth Vader is among the most iconic villains in all cinema. Known for his menacing armor, his sinister demeanor and his penchant for Force-choking colleagues without warning, he's quite the fearsome Sith Lord. It's difficult to imagine Vader being afraid of anyone. However, in a now non-canon comic, Star Wars: Vector, published by Dark Horse Comics in 2008, Vader faced a spirit so terrifying that he actually ran for his life.
The problem began with an ancient artifact known as the Muur Talisman. Created by Sith Lord Karness Muur, the golden, insect-shaped talisman possessed the power to infect non-Force-sensitive beings with the Rakghoul plague, which essentially turned the victim into a zombie. The talisman also held the spirit of Muur, who sought to take over the mind and body of Force user who wore it in a bid to control an army of Rakghoul zombies.
