I've been listening to electronic music for years, and it's funny how it can transport you back to a particular moment in time. I still remember when I first heard Said The Sky's music - it was like nothing I'd ever heard before. He had this ethereal quality to his sound, this dreamy quality that just drew me in. And I have to say, his latest album, Icarus & I, is no exception.

Icarus & I: A Sonic Odyssey​

This album is like a journey, a sonic odyssey that takes you on a ride through different emotions and landscapes. Said The Sky is a master at crafting atmosphere, and Icarus & I is no different. From the opening notes of the first track, you can tell that you're in for something special. It's like being dropped into a world that's both familiar and yet, utterly strange. The soundscapes are lush and expansive, with every element carefully balanced to create this sense of depth and space.

But what really stands out to me is how Said The Sky uses melody to tell a story. It's like the album has tapped into my psyche or something. The beats, the melodies, the lyrics... everything just feels so familiar, yet so fresh. I find myself nodding my head to the music without even realizing it.

𝚃𝙷𝙴 𝙰𝚁𝚃 𝙾𝚁 𝚁𝙴𝙰𝙻𝙸𝚃𝙴𝚂​

One thing I love about this album is the way it weaves together different emotions and experiences. It's like the artist is speaking directly to my soul, telling me things I've been too afraid to say out loud.


I mean, take the track "Lost in the Haze" for example. The way the guitars swirl around the vocals, creating this sense of disorientation and confusion... it's like I'm right there with the artist, feeling the same emotions they're expressing.

I've been wondering, what drives an artist to create something as beautiful and raw as this album? Is it a desire to connect with others, to share a piece of themselves with the world? Or is it something more selfish, a need to express and process their own emotions?


Whatever the reason, I'm grateful for it. Because this album has been a for me, a reminder that music can be a powerful tool for healing and connection.
