Cannot preview pdf files in windows explorer

Enable “Show preview handlers in preview pane”. Within File Explorer, with the Preview Pane as my View choice, I'm not seeing a preview of the PDF documents. It works for everything else, as far as I can see, but not for Word. In XYplorer, open Configuration (F9), go to section Previewed Formats, and select category User-Defined Preview Handlers. Workaround: Remove from the folder name (i.e., rename #Folding Stools to Folding Stools), and the preview will magically work, regardless of what your default PDF viewer is.
