Anyone here regret getting PPF done on a new car in Dubai?

Hi guys, I picked up my new car around three weeks ago and now I'm stuck deciding if I should go ahead with paint protection film or just leave it as it is. A friend of mine keeps telling me Dubai roads can really mess up the paint because of sand, tiny stones, and the crazy heat during summer, but another friend said it's just an expensive extra and not really worth it unless you own a super luxury car. Honestly I'm somewhere in the middle because I do care about keeping the car clean and fresh for a few years, especially since this is the first car I bought completely on my own. Last weekend I noticed a very small mark near the front bumper after driving on Sheikh Zayed Road and that kind of made me nervous.
