In Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, a resourceful player discovered an effective tactic for defeating Gleeoks using a bow from a considerable distance. Among the numerous videos showcasing Gleeok takedowns online, this method stands out for its accessibility, requiring the right equipment and items.

Gleeoks are notorious adversaries in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, known for their formidable challenge. These three-headed dragon-like creatures boast substantial health pools and high defense. The game features three Gleeok variants: Flame Gleeok with fire-based attacks, Frost Gleeok with ice-based maneuvers, and Thunder Gleeok utilizing electric-based assaults. Additionally, King Gleeoks, found in Hyrule, possess the combined powers of all three Gleeok types.

A Reddit user named Champions-Descendant shared a video clip on the Tears of the Kingdom subreddit, demonstrating Link's adeptness at vanquishing a Gleeok from a significant distance. In the video, Link takes aim at the airborne monster from atop a nearby mountain, infusing a Gleeok Wing to his arrow before releasing it. The Gleeok barely reacts to the arrow impact. This process is repeated two more times, ultimately bringing down the formidable creature.

The success of Champions-Descendant hinged on the specific equipment, items fused to the arrows, and the bow used. The crucial item fused to the arrows, known as Gleeok Wings in Tears of the Kingdom, enhances arrow flight distance when combined. This crucial enhancement allowed the player to maintain a considerable distance from the target. The bow showcased in the clip is the Zonaite Bow, allowing the player to charge the shot using Link's energy meter, with greater charge times resulting in increased damage.

In the clip, Link also sports the Barbarian Armor set, significantly boosting his damage output, a benefit akin to certain meals and elixirs in the game. Players can obtain all three components of the Barbarian armor set in specific caves scattered across Hyrule. While the provided clip only shows the final moments of Link dispatching the Gleeok, unable to confirm that it took just three shots, the damage-boosting weapons and items ensure that players can replicate this strategy, even if it necessitates a few additional shots.
