I’ve been trying to figure out if Explicit Advertising is still worth putting time and money into this year. It feels like things keep changing, and what worked even a year ago doesn’t always hold up now.

One issue I kept running into was that some methods looked promising but didn’t really deliver consistent results. Either the traffic quality was off, or engagement just wasn’t there. It made me question if I was using the wrong approach or if the whole space had just become too saturated.

I started experimenting a bit instead of sticking to one setup. Tried different ad styles, changed how direct the messaging was, and even played around with placement timing. One thing I noticed is that going too aggressive right away didn’t always help. In some cases, slightly toned-down creatives actually performed better because they felt less pushy.

Another thing that stood out was how important testing became. I used to set something up and let it run, but now I check more often and adjust small details. Even basic changes like headline wording or image choice made a noticeable difference over time.

From what I’ve seen, explicit approaches can still work, but they seem to need a bit more balance now. It’s not just about being bold, it’s about being smart with how you present things. I’m still learning, but focusing on testing and not relying on just one idea has helped me avoid wasting too much budget.
